Jim Chatham

Hi, I’m Jim Chatham.  I live in Asheville, NC, where I lead story writing seminars designed to motivate normal, everyday people to get down on paper the tales from their past that someone will love reading someday.  “Treasure in Your Will” seminars, I like to call them.  I’ve been doing this for several years, and the experience has been amazing.  As my walking friend James Hyde (a psychologist) says, “When people tell their stories to one another, the Sacred enters the room.”  It’s true.

I also teach Bible courses to classes of lay people, trying to demonstrate that the Bible is not an ancient relic from the frozen past but a living, breathing picture of what you and I experience in life right now, as contemporary as anything in print.

I have a history, most of which you don’t want to read, so that I have condensed it in one paragraph, which you can skip.  The picture is about twelve years old;  I look worse than that now.
